The happy riser

Macie wakes up at 7am every morning. Religiously. I have to pay close attention to the monitor in the morning because she will wake up and play in her crib, sometimes not even making any nosie. When I peek in at her, she always greets me with a HUGE smile. So, I took video of it. She is only half as happy here because she was distracted by the camera. She smiled and then thought, "whoa, what is that thing you are holding...and are you going to pick me up and feed me woman".

Another swim..another suit.

Today was a beautiful day in the Sunshine State (that is for you Jersey Folks). By nice, I mean 80 degrees! I took the opportunity to take Macie in the jogging stroller and when we got home, Jim took her in the pool. Macie thought it was fun since she was able to wear her new bathing suit and her new shades.

Jim and his mini-me. They even have the same hair cut. Ha!

I'm with Cupid!

Happy Valentine's Day!! Today was Macie's first Valentine's Day and, of course, she had to celebrate in style. We dressed her in her special red pants with the ruffle butt and a cute white top with little hearts.
The cutest part of the day was when dad brought her a Valentine's Day flower.

I love these long eyelashes!

Right foot forward

Macie discovered her feet awhile back, but today she couldn't stop putting them in her mouth! Everytime I would go to change her diaper, she would stick her right foot in her mouth. I have been fighting that right foot all day! :)

Where's Waldo?

Today I was going through Macie's drawers to clean out the items that are small on her. There aren't many small things since she is such a little nugget, but I set her on the floor with all of her stuffed animals and she was giggling and having a great time with them. Pretty soon they were scattered all around her. It was so cute that I set up my own Where's Waldo in her little chair.

My little runner in the making...

Today was the annual Gasparilla Run in Tampa. I have done the 15K and half marathon many years in a row, however this year Macie and I did the 5K Stroller Roll. The weather was perfect and Macie was just hanging out in the stroller taking in all the sites. It was great!

Tomorrow we are going to go down to the race course and cheer on our friends that are running the marathon. Good luck to Natalie and Todd!!! Macie can't wait to cheer you two on.

This is a picture of Macie with her race medal. She already told me that she is going to run a marathon one day! :)

Other breaking news in the Arthur household is that Macie is PACI FREE!!!! She was starting to get into the habit of spitting it out and crying all night long, so we went cold turkey and took it away. After only 24 hours, she really didn't seem to miss it. Jim and I definitely do not miss it!

Solid as a rock!

We were planning to wait 6 months to start solids. In the meantime, I have been making my own baby food and freezing it so that we will have it ready for that phase of baby life. Tonight I was pureeing carrots and Jim gave Macie a little taste. She really seemed interested so we decided solids at 5 months instead! We mixed up the rice cereal, which ... yuck..., but Macie thought it was pretty tasty.

Playing with my spoon is fun...

Two little fishies!

Jim LOVES to swim in our pool and now that we can finally put Macie in the pool, we do so often! She really loves swimming with daddy.

It's so much fun when daddy spits water on my belly!

Macie giggles...

Macie is really starting to giggle now. It is so cute! Tonight we were getting her ready for bathtime, which is why she is sporting only a diaper, and Jim had her giggling and squealing. She likes when daddy blows raspberries on her belly. Just see for yourself....
