Naps are overrated anyway!

Macie and I went to the mall this morning and I got her home just in time for her afternoon nap. I put her in the crib and she cried. She usually cries for a few minutes before falling asleep, and lets face it folks, she isn't ALWAYS happy. Well, okay, she is happy about 99.9% of the time.

Instead of falling asleep like she usually does, I could hear her in her crib playing and laughing. I looked on the video monitor and our little one had pulled herself up onto her knees. Guess I have to start raising the side bar on the crib now, huh?

When I went into check on her, she was so proud of herself. I really didn't have to do anything to get her to smile for the camera. However, one hour later...she still wasn't asleep! I guess playing in the crib is more fun than naps!
Macie is also scooting her little but all over the place. She crawls backwards and can get around pretty well doing so. It's only a matter of time before she takes the forward plunge! SO LONG DAYS OF REST!!! :)

Onto the Arthur news: We have officially moved out of our house. I am sad since I loved that house. Plus, it was the house we lived in when we got engaged, married, pregnant and had Macie. However, we are going to start house hunting this weekend so I am excited about that!

She's almost on the move!!!

Sorry I haven't updated in awhile. For those of you that don't know...we are moving! We rented our house and our plan is to put our stuff in storage and stay, temporarily, at Jim's grandmother's house while we house hunt. Maw's house has been empty for quite some time, and we have had to fix it up a bit before we move into it. As you can imagine, it has been a lot of work to fix her house, pack our house, work and take care of Macie. So, there hasn't been much fun time lately! My parents have been a HUGE help with this process and I am not sure we could have done it without them!

Ok, now onto the fun stuff.....Macie is *almost* on the move!! She goes from the sitting position to her belly and then scoots backwards. Today she went from scooting herself backwards to sitting up again. I think my days of rest will soon be over!

Here are a few pictures from this morning. Macie took a long nap today. This makes for a happy baby and a happy mommy! :)

I went to get her form the crib and she was peeking at me.

And happy as usual!

Then she played with her toys for a bit.

And gave me some big, toothless, smiles!

A few other annoucements:

Good: We would like to congratulate our good friends Jen and Eric Weitz on their FIVE year wedding anniversary. Cheers to many more wonderful years!!

Sad: Jim's grandmother passed away this morning. She was 94 years old and she lived a long and wonderful life. We are very happy that she was not only able to meet Macie, but to see her routinely for the past nine months. We will really miss Maw!

Weekend with Aunt T!

Macie was very excited to see her Aunt Tracy this weekend! We had a wonderful time hanging out at the house, playing by the pool and going out to dinner. Macie misses her Aunt T already and looks forward to seeing her again very soon.

Here is another Macie and daddy pool moment. The bathing suit was so cute that I had to get the camera out. Plus, look at that smile! She LOVES the pool!

And when your teething, anything goes. Including daddy's ear!

also including the pool edge...
And after all that fun hanging out with Aunt T and swimming with daddy, Macie took a big snappy snoozer! She loves to cuddle with her bunny in the crib.
