The Little Mermaid

Macie is our little water log! Since she has always loved bath time, we knew that she would also love the pool. Tonight we got her in the pool for the first time. Of course, the swimming experience would not have been complete without a very cute bathing suit!

Macie swam around on her belly while dad held her and she also sat on the step and giggled at her splash.

The one-arm swaddle

We have been swaddling Macie since the day she was born. She always loved it and it helped soothe her to sleep. Now she is four months old and STILL swaddled so we are trying to wean her. A few months ago she was to long for the blanket so we started to leave her legs out, now we leave her right arm out. It's kinda ridiculous, I know. BUT it's so cute. Sometimes her right arm will be out to her side, sometimes its up in the air, sometimes its wrapped around the top of her head. You never know what you're going to get, but you always know that it will be CUTE!

Macie and toys...

We are so blessed to have such an easy and happy baby. She wakes up babbling happily in her crib. Today when she woke up, I was doing a few things around the house and didn't get in there for 5 minutes or so, and she didn't mind at all. She just laid in there babbling away. I think she would have laid in there for an hour if I let her! She is starting to squirm around her crib. When I put her to sleep at night her head is at one end of the crib, when I get her up in the morning, her head is at the other end. It's pretty funny - even she looks confused!

Her new thing is playing with her toys while sitting in the Bumbo seat. Few things make little Macie happier!! :)

The first sniffles...

Macie has her first little cold. It is so sad to see her all congested but she is still so happy. Really, nothing makes her frown!

Tonight was bath night, which is always a happy time for Macie. She has figured out how to kick her feet and make a big splash, which usually means momma gets soaked!

Macie is four months old!

Macie's FOUR month doctor's appointment was this past Wednesday. Our little girl is getting so big. She weighs 12 pounds, 1 ounce and she grew two inches. I want her to stay little and snuggly forever! :)

Macie's new favorite toy is her Bumbo seat. She loves to sit in it and look around and babble about everything that she sees. Today she was babbling to me about putting her in a cap and covering up her beautiful hair, but I had to explain to her that it was cold outside!

Professional Pictures

We had some professional pictures taken in the end of December. I have not had a chance to get through all of them yet, but these are some of my favorite ones so far. I especially love this one of Macie and Jim. Those two speak a language even I don't understand. I think its the daddy/daughter bond they have. I love the way she looks at him....

Macie & Mommy

This is one happy baby!

We are so lucky to have such a happy baby - she never fusses, sleeps well and ALWAYS smiles. I dressed her in her new Love Bug sleeper from Nonna and Pappy tonight. As I was getting her ready for bed, I said her name and she looked at me with the biggest smile. She knows her name!!!! She also found her feet yesterday, but they have not made their way to her mouth yet.

Today was a fun day...

Macie had such a big time this morning playing on her little mat. She wore herself having so much fun that she eventually fell asleep on it. She later slept in her swing with her favorite teddy bear given to her by Aunt Maryanne and Uncle Alan.

Today we've just been hanging around the house watching football. But I still put Macie in a cute little outfit, complete with a bonnet. She sat in her little "everywhere chair" and smiled away for you all to see.

Baby it's cold outside!!!

We don't get much cold weather here in the Sunshine State. However, the past few days have been freezing! We had to get out and run some errands so I had to bundle the little one up...hat and all! She looked at me like I was crazy, and I looked at her like she was cute! :)
