Laughed Until We Cried

No pictures today folks! Instead I am sitting here thinking about how this time last year I was pregnant and we didn't know if we were having a girl or boy yet. It's just amazing that one short year later Macie is here with us. Life is just so much better with her.

I just downloaded "Laughed Until We Cried" by Jason Aldean onto my Ipod. I love these lyrics. It really hits home!

The Sunday Family Gathering...

Every month our family gets together to celebrate birthdays. Usually we are in Tampa and can't make it but this weekend we were in Jacksonville and we were very excited to be able to celebrate Jimmy and Lisa's birthdays! Plus, it is always great to spend some time with the family.

Macie had so much fun at the party playing with her cousin Luke. She LOVES him! Anytime he came around she smiled and giggled. Here is them hugging...

Happy Birthday Jimmy and Lisa! We had fun at the party with everyone and look forward to another one very soon! We miss everyone in Jacksonville.

Visiting Jacksonvlle

We had such a great weekend! Jim, Macie and I went to Jacksonville for a wedding and to visit family. We stayed with Chris and Jamie and it was great to spend some time with them.

Macie loves her Uncle Chris and Aunt Jamie. She had lots of fun with them when they baby-sat her on Saturday night while we attended Kimberly's wedding. The wedding was beautiful and it was fun for Jim and I to get dressed up and have an evening out.


We went to Nonna and Pappy's house on Sunday morning for breakfast and a photo shoot.

Seven Months Old!

Today was Macie's 7-month birthday. I can't believe how time flies! She is growing like a weed. Today she ate like a little piggy with two 3.5-ounce containers of baby food plus two tablespoons of oatmeal, plus I nursed her, plus she had forumla! She is my little piggy. But she is a peanut piggy.

She didn't feel like smiling for our little photo shoot today. I was jumping around like an idiot, making all kinds of noises, waving teddy bears in the air and she was looking at me like the creazy freak mom that I am. She was being stubborn....like who? Oh, like her momma!

It was so nice outside and now that Macie can sit all by herself, for the most part, we went outside for some pictures. Please ignore the drool - I try to get it off but by time I take two steps away, it's back!

Macie has something to say...


I actually took this picture yesterday but I thought it was a cool one. Jim was swimming and he put Macie in the Bumbo seat so that she could keep him company. Those two love their pool time!

Sweet potatoes and pears

Since Macie has been sick, we hit a little bump in the road with solid foods. She hasn't really been interested and I don't really blame her since her poor little nose is all stuffed up. However, today she was feeling a little better so she indulged in some sweet potatoes and pears for dinner. She was so full afterwards that she quickly began snoring away in her swing.

There is nothing clean about feeding a baby solid foods.

Then daddy came along and started dancing for Macie. She clearly wanted to laugh at him more than she wanted to eat pears and sweet potatoes!

And finally, Macie loves to grab daddy's face. She does it everyday!

Once nap time was over, Macie and I took a one-hour walk. The weather was beautiful! 80 degrees and breezy. Macie definitely needed to walk off her big dinner! :)

Back to reality!

We had such a great time last weekend that it was tough for everyone to return to reality! Aunt Jaime came down from New Jersey with her boyfriend, Kris, to visit Macie. We loved meeting Kris for the first time and they both had a great time with Macie. The weather turned out to be perfect - 80 degrees and all sun! We were able to enjoy a day at the beach, Busch Gardens and one night out on the town, while Nonna and Pappy babysat.

When it came time to return to reality, Macie decided to show us how sad she was by getting sick. She has a bad ear infection in one ear, the beginning of an ear infection in the other ear and a bad cold. She looks so sad being sick that it breaks my heart. However, as you would expect from Macie, she is still smiling!
