Sleep sign

Do you have kids? Do you know how annoying it is when you finally get your child down for a nap only to have the UPS guy, or someone else, beat down your door at 2pm and wake your peacefully sleeping child? Yeah. I know that story all too well. We used to have a sign on the door that said "please don't knock, baby sleeping". It was written with a sharpie on a sheet of paper. Tacky smacky! So, I bought a small canvas on sale for 40% off at Michael's, ribbon and paint and made a sign for the front door. Total cost for my cute sign was $9.50.

I was going to write "baby sleeping" but I ran out of room. I still think it's cute. It's much cuter than previous sign (which was just taped to the front door) and I probably should have made it a long time ago!

Zoo Splash Park

Fun times this past weekend! Aunt Tracy came to town and we went to the zoo! Since the weather was so nice, I brought the kids bathing suits and they played in the fountains. Davis calls the fountains "buhboo's" (aka. bubbles). He also tries to hug each of the little splashers. It's super cute!

Saturday Fun

Who needs Sunday Funday when you have Saturday Funday? These kids are crazy if they are not worn out because momma is beat!! Jim has worked a lot of hours the past two days so it's just been me and the crazies. Today was non-stop. We left the house early this morning and met up with Pam, Morgan and Kaitlyn. Morgan and Macie are BFF's (as much as pre-schoolers can be BFF's). We all jumped in Pam's Armada and went to a nearby community garage sale. Me, Pam and FOUR kids. Five females and Davis. Poor boy. He sucked his thumb, held onto his lovey for dear life and didn't make a peep the entire two hours. How can a boy get one word in when the car is filled with five other females anyway?

We scored some great stuff! I have been monitoring Craigslist lately for a power-wheels toy for Macie. All the kids on the street have them and Macie is always driving or riding in the neighbors. Today, I found a Barbie Jeep for Moo!! It was in great shape, well working battery and the price was right. Moo and I were both super excited!

Look at these two hams. How cute are they?? Arms around each other and all smiles. :)
Once the garage sale festivities were over, we headed out to a birthday for a very special friend. I can do pretty much anything with both kids, however, I was seriously outnumbered at the party. They each wanted to do opposite things AND they each wanted me. If I could split myself in two, it would have been all good. It worked out and it was fun, but, man, it was a lot of work!!

Macie got her face painted. She specifically wanted a "pink butterfly" ... and that was what she got! We also got some very neat balloons.

Happy 5th Birthday, Madison!! We had a great time at your party. Thank you for including us!!
