A bench...before and after

We moved into our house over two years ago. I am the type of person who needs a cute, decorated house. It is the way I am wired. Two years ago I was to pregnant and consumed with work and a toddler to care about decorating ...then I had 2 kids under 2 and I was to busy. Now I am a woman on a mission .... making this house look the way I want it to look. We are a long way off, but definitely making progress.

I bought a cute table last week from Craigslist for $40!!! $40 and it is SO cute!! ....more on that later. Also, I have this bench near the front door. I am looking for an entry way table, but in the meantime, I recovered the bench.

Here it is before....

And after...

I thought about painting the frame, but I kinda like it so I am going to leave it for now. Once I find my table, I am going to relocate this bench - maybe to the living room or dinning room. Ignore the tile, that is on its way out too...

It was totally easy!! I wish I had taken pictures in the process but I didn't b/c I was trying to keep the drill, screwdriver, kitchen shears and staple gun away from Davis! LOL. All I did was unscrew the cushion from the frame with a drill, cover the seat with the new fabric (since you can't see the old fabric through the new fabric, I didn't bother taking it off). I used the staple gun to attach the new fabric (make sure to pull tightly)...and then drilled the frame and cushion back together. Wahhhhlaaa!! :)
