Water park

We met with Melissa and Tyler at Kate Jackson Park today. The weather was really nice so I was happy that Macie would be able to run around the park. I forgot about the water area, but thankfully Melissa had an extra swim diaper. So, I stripped Macie down, put the swim diaper on her, put some sun block on her...and let her run wild.

Getting her out of the water is next to impossible! Since I was unprepared, I dried her with a burp cloth. I guess that means I can no longer make fun of Jim for bringing a dish cloth to dry her off one time. I thought he was kidding until he actually took a dish cloth out of the diaper bag! :)

Note our matching bellies....

Update on the gator: our association president called the Gator Hotline and gave them permission to go onsite and remove the gator. So, the "gator trapper" was supposed to contact me within 24 hours. They told me that if I did not hear from him, to call them back. I didn't hear from him so I plan to call first thing in the morning. The little guy was out there today though. I saw him a few times in a few different spots!

In our backyard...

You are not seeing things. It's a gator....
Just beyond our backyard is a little pond. Around 2:30 today I was closing the blinds and saw a gator sun bathing in the pond. It was directly behind our house...not anybody else's house. Our house.

A nice close up of the little guy...

To get an idea of how close it was, in this picture I am standing near the hedges in our backyard. That is the gator in the distance. Kinda freaky since I was outback with Macie just the other day.
No worries though, I called Animal Services. They connected me with the Gator Hotline - only in Florida do you have a "Gator Hotline". I also had to contact our Homeowner's Association so that they could give Animal Services permission to go on the property and remove the gator. Hopefully the little guy will be scooped up tomorrow!
So, that is the big news with The Arthur's today. Sorry. Only ugly gator pictures and no cute Moo pictures. :(

Breakfast in bed!

Friday night I enjoyed a night out with my girlfriends. It was me and four other moms from my playgroup and we went to The Wine Exchange, a local Tampa resturant with awesome food! We had so much fun and laughed so hard that we lost track of time and I got home WAY past my bedtime. This would normally be okay, except that when you are pregnant, there is no room for error! So, Jim woke up with the baby on Saturday morning.

Macie and Jim put together a plan to make me breakfast in bed. Here is Macie holding the butter and telling dad what to make...

Now, I would not normally post pictures of me laying in bed first thing in the morning...but here goes. Warning - if Macie wasn't in them, this could really destroy your day! :) Here is Macie delivering my breakfast in bed. She also wants to get up on the bed to share my food.

My breakfast was complete with scrambled eggs, morning star farms sausage, toast and a banana chocolate chip muffin. Macie loves toast, and she was very quick to let me know that the toast was only on my plate for show and that she was going to eat it for me!

Mmmm, yummy toast!

So that was my morning. It was a fabulous Saturday and I was well rested. Ask me how "well rested" I am two months from now and I might turn into the exorcist! :)
The weather was gorgeous today and the local elementary school had a carnival, where each class sponsored something. It was small, low key, and perfect for kids of all ages. We took Macie and she was able to go in two different bounce houses, which she LOVES. Plus, she was able to check out a fire engine and play on the little people playground. She had a FABULOUS TIME!
This afternoon we bought our coffee table. YAY! Little by little, the house comes together.

Weekend Fun!

Another fun weekend for The Arthur's! Nonna and Pappy came in town on Saturday and Jim and I went to a party at Macie's daycare. It was a lot of fun to hang out, not chase the kids, and be able to chat with the other parents.

Here we are before the party. Yes, I am pale. Yes, I have an exploding gut. AND, yes, I have on cute leopard print shoes. Do we all wonder why Macie loves shoes so much???

On Sunday Jim and dad painted baby Davis' room. We should have the furniture delivered in another two to four weeks so I am looking forward to that. Just in time for my "nesting" phase! Sunday night we went to Gio's for dinner. A local italian resturant, which is very yummy!

Macie loves to either sit in her little pink chair, or on my lap, while she watches The Backyardigans. She loves that show! The cutest part of all is how she dances to their theme song when it first comes on. She spins around in a circle, bends her knees, claps her hands and bops her head from side to side. It cracks me up!

And here she is. Probably just being sassy, in general! :)

Being a ham for the camera before bed. She tells us "night night" now. It's SOO cute! It sounds more like "naa naa" - we make her say it a thousand times a night because we LOVE how she says it.
