An ordinary day

Nothing fancy about today. Monday morning. Jim worked. Moo had school from 9-12, which always gives me a nice break and some time with my little man. We ran some errands, read some books and cleaned up the house.

Jim has diverticulitus. No fun. When it flares up, really no fun. Maalox helps a little and it was on sale this week at CVS so I stocked up. This was $21 before coupons and $2 after. Yep. $2.

Davis totally melted my heart today. Once lunch was over and I was cleaning up, I looked over at him in his high chair and he was literally falling asleep. Ok, I have never had one of those babies that fall asleep in the high chair. AND it was only 12:15 (he typically goes down between 12:30 and 1pm). So, I asked him if he was tired. He responded, "ah huh". Could he be any cuter?! I picked him up, he put his little head on my shoulder and I brought him to the crib. He was asleep within 5 seconds and he slept for over 2 hours. Momma's dream!

It was a rainy, blah day so I made a comfort-food casserole for dinner. Hot Italian chicken sausage and pasta. Yum.

And, of course, this casserole was made by me and my two little helpers...

Moo is crazy. The minute she walks in the door, she takes off her shoes and her pants. This girl loves to hang out in her shirt and underwear. Pick your battles? This is simply not a battle for me. You want to hang in your undies, have at it sister.

It wouldn't be a normal day without some laundry. And it wouldn't be the same without my little people helping with the "maundry". Davis couldn't reach the clothes so he climbed in. Yeah, I know...I am mom of the year...

The kids went to bed at 7pm and I was off to Publix. I usually do my major, weekly shopping at night without the kids. It's easier, plus I can't focus on my coupons when I am trying to entertain two toddlers in Publix. I just re-did my coupon binder. I love it. It's painfully organized, which is right up my alley.

I spent $84 and saved $73 - not to bad for a family of 4 for one week, huh?

Alight party people. 10:30pm is to late for me. G-night!
